How much should go on the board?
Snack boards look effortless but quantities are tricky. Tell us how many people, what kind of get-together and any dietary needs, and we’ll work out how much of each component to put out.

Classic butter & salt
Mix your own popcorn flavour
Homemade popcorn costs very little and takes minutes. Choose how many kernels you’re popping and a flavour, and the mixer scales the seasoning so every handful is perfectly coated.

Snack FAQ
What makes a good homemade snack?
A mix of textures and flavours keeps snacks satisfying: something crunchy, something creamy, a little sweetness or saltiness. Pairing fruit or vegetables with a protein such as yoghurt, cheese or chickpeas also helps snacks feel more filling.
How do I keep homemade crunchy snacks crisp?
Let them cool completely before storing, then keep them in an airtight jar at room temperature. If they soften, a few minutes in a hot oven usually brings the crunch back.
How far ahead can I make a snack board?
Prepare dips and cut hardy vegetables up to a day ahead and keep them chilled. Slice apples and add crackers just before serving so nothing goes soft or brown.
Are your snacks suitable for lunchboxes?
Many are. Oat bars, roasted chickpeas and hummus with vegetables travel well. Check your school’s rules on nuts before packing trail mix or nut butters.
Can I make popcorn without a microwave?
Yes. Stovetop popcorn is quick and easy: heat oil in a large lidded pan, add a single layer of kernels, cover and shake gently until the popping slows.
